OUR MISSION:
To warm the hearts of our community by enabling Christian-oriented performing arts, visual arts, and related endeavors through financial assistance, administrative and promotional support, and provision of venue space for sponsored organizations.
Our Origin Story:
Fezziwig Foundation was formed in February 2022 in order to underwrite family-oriented community
theatre in metro-Atlanta. Fezziwig’s initial “client” was Dogwood Theatre Company, an unaffiliated
association of college and high school actors with common ties to Gwinnett County. Several of Fezziwig’s
board members were co-founders of Dogwood. During summer 2021, those who would eventually
become Fezziwig’s leadership produced our first-ever work: the play Arsenic and Old Lace. It was a
successful project, helping to justify the formation of a non-profit entity to support future works of this
kind.
So in 2022, with 501(c)(3) non-profit credentials in hand, Fezziwig Foundation produced the play Clue out
of Lawrenceville Arts Center, securing a grant from Gwinnett Creativity Fund along the way. LAC staff
reported exclusively positive comments from patrons, i.e. 100% positive reviews. The successful
endeavor expanded Fezziwig’s reach within metro Atlanta, building a more diverse following, and
connecting us to new corporate sponsors, private donors, and patrons.
Summer 2023 saw Fezziwig successfully produce its first ever musical. Into the Woods was performed
out of Hebron Christian Academy in Dacula, Georgia. Through the weekend, Fezziwig hosted several
dozen “celebrity guests” individuals with interest in the arts but not necessarily means to attend
community theatre in Gwinnett. The popularity of the Celebrity Guest program compelled us to consider
it a permanent element in future productions.
Subsequent years have seen Fezziwig stretch its capabilities ever further, with successful mid-summer
productions including Into the Woods in 2024 and Merrily We Roll Along in 2025. We also commenced
an annual one-act adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, performed by Dogwood Theatre
Company. These festive Christmastime spectaculars have included pre-show carols with the costumed
cast and complimentary sweet goodies.
Growing support from the community, loyal sponsors, and devoted friends makes Fezziwig’s future very
bright!

OUR ASPIRATIONS:
“Near-term objectives for Fezziwig include diversifying the types of mission-consistent artistic projects undertaken, including expansion into the fine and musical arts, seeding additional acting troupes, and broadening our geographical reach throughout metro Atlanta. Our ultimate dream is to operate a permanent multipurpose facility out of which we enable a portfolio of arts-oriented endeavors, all of which benefit the community.”
